COLEAD has been selected as a service provider by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to provide technical assistance and training services in the framework of the INOE Project, “Investment for New Employment Opportunities”.

The overall objective of the INOE project is to create jobs for youth and women by promoting sustainable investment and private sector development in the agro-industrial and related fields in Senegal and in particular around the southern agropole in the natural region of Casamance (Ziguinchor, Sédhiou and Kolda).

The project covers three key areas:

1. Business ecosystems and cluster development, i.e. the development of industrial zones, the improvement of export opportunities and the reduction of barriers to investment;
2. Sustainable investments focusing on cooperation with private companies and the promotion of sustainable value chains;
3. The promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), to foster competitiveness, develop new markets and promote investment and technological cooperation between German/European and African SMEs.

The implementation of several training and consultancy activities have been entrusted to COLEAD with the aim of providing support to improve the competitiveness of the Casamance mango sector.
