Omer-Decugis & Cie Group
Development of a global sustainability reporting framework for the Omer-Decugis & Cie Group
Context
The Omer-Decugis & Cie Group sought COLEAD’s expertise to develop a robust sustainability reporting framework. This initiative is driven by the company’s commitment to strengthen transparency and accountability in its sustainability practices, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This mission takes place against the backdrop of increasing regulatory requirements for sustainability in the European Union, in particular the forthcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainable Development Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). These directives require comprehensive sustainability reporting focusing on environmental, social and governance parameters. The collaboration with COLEAD should enable the Omer-Decugis & Cie group to integrate this complexity into its daily activities and promote a holistic approach to sustainable development. The Omer-Decugis & Cie Group’s ambition is to be best in class and to go beyond regulatory obligations to create a positive and sustainable impact in all its operations worldwide.
In this context, the Omer-Decugis Group has decided to turn what appears to be a major new regulatory constraint into an opportunity to capitalise on the sustainability efforts the Group has already been making for years, particularly in the fruit and vegetable producing countries where it has historically been active.
Objectives
The main objective of the COLEAD assignment is to develop a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that integrates a detailed mapping tool, a dual materiality analysis and the construction of meaningful indicators adapted to the local context, linked to credible targets to stimulate continuous improvement. This framework will ensure broad stakeholder engagement, compliance and impact across the Group’s global operations.
Specific objectives :
O1: Mobilise and lead an ad hoc OD group-COLEAD team capable of collectively delivering all the expected intermediate results during the period, which will contribute to the achievement of the expected final result.
O2: Collect, analyse and systematise data from inside and outside the Group, using a matrix-based methodological approach based on the “dual materiality” required by the CRSD regulations.
O3: Provide a stable technical and methodological framework to enable the Group to meet its regulatory obligations in its annual reporting and to position the OD Group as a model and leader in sustainability over time
